Laptop makers have created a heat sink which absorbs the heat of the laptop as it runs. When the heat of the laptop reaches a certain heat in the red zone the fans kick in and reduce this heat. However, the heat sink is prone to dust which can lead it to become less efficient in its task. To combat this one could try to clean the heat sink which is most of the time located by the vents in the laptop. In order to do this please follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.
